Positive Action: Fighting HIV/AIDS in the South
Positive Action—a global program that funds projects enabling grassroots action in the HIV/AIDS community—was launched in 1992. Today, ViiV Healthcare has focused the program to address gaps in care and treatment for people living with HIV/AIDS.
In 2010, ViiV launched the Positive Action Southern Initiative. The initiative targets projects supporting HIV/AIDS efforts in African-American and Latino populations in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana and Mississippi.
These seven grantees were selected this year to receive funding over the next two years:
