U.S., Vietnam Partner Against HIV/AIDS
The United States and Vietnam have agreed to a “partnership
framework” to fight HIV/AIDS in Vietnam, according to a State Department
statement. The five-year plan increases HIV prevention, care and treatment, as
well as strengthens health care systems overall. The U.S. President’s Emergency
Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), already the largest health program in Vietnam,
will further support the priorities in the partnership framework.
