New Website Seeks Help for HIV-Positive Vietnamese Children
A group of volunteers in Hanoi, Vietnam, has launched a new website designed to bolster support for children living with HIV/AIDS, the Vietnam News Agency reports (vietnamnews.vnagency.com.vn, 4/8).
The site, childrenaids.com, provides information about HIV and AIDS, and aims to bring HIV-positive children together with donors. According to Do Dang Dong, a volunteer with the For a Bright Future Group, the public can get involved by donating money or clothing to children in need, or by providing useful information about HIV/AIDS for the site.
According to the article, there are about 150,000 people living with HIV in Vietnam, with almost 1,500 HIV-positive children under the age of 13.
