Nearly 37 million people watched the Oscars on Sunday night (a six-year low), but the most famous viewing party had to be the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s 23rd annual Academy Awards viewing fundraiser, which brought in $5.8 million, according to USA Today.

About 1,000 guests attended the party, which collected donations during the night and also auctioned items to raise money for the AIDS foundation.

Partiers included Miley Cyrus, Sia, Beck, Kylie Minogue, Lil’ Kim, Heidi Klum, Rob Lowe and Peter Fonda. Comedian Mike Myers, who went to high school in Toronto with John’s husband, David Furnish, pledged $25,000.

Sharon Osbourne, with her husband Ozzie, also drummed up support for the cause.

The disco-themed party included a post-Oscars set by Nile Rodgers and Chic.
