OraQuick In-Home HIV Test Available Online
OraSure Technologies has begun online sales of its OraQuick
In-Home HIV Test, The Morning Call reports. The single-use test costs $39.99 on
the OraQuick website and is expected to be available soon for over-the-counter
sales in retail locations such as CVS, Walgreens and Walmart. The test uses an
oral swab and gives results in 20 to 40 minutes. The Food and Drug
Administration approved the test in July, which made it the first rapid in-home
HIV test in the United States.
