Gay Men’s Health Crisis (GMHC) in New York City has hired Kelsey Louie as its new chief executive officer, according to a GMHC statement. Most recently, he was chief operating officer at the Harlem United Community AIDS Center.

A native New Yorker with a Master of Social Work degree from New York University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University, Louie managed a staff of 350 and a $42 million budget and operations at Harlem United since 2007.

Previously, Louie has held roles at the New York Foundling, Veritas Therapeutic Community Inc. and the Jewish Board of Family and Children’s Services. In 2006, he was coordinator of counseling and education at GMHC.
