The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) has agreed to help advance efforts to scale up access to HIV testing and treatment worldwide, according to a statement by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS), which signed a memorandum of understanding with IFRC to partner on this effort. This agreement is part of the UNAIDS Treatment 2015 initiative to ensure 15 million people living with HIV have access to antiretroviral treatment by 2015.
