UNAIDS Gets $2M to Expand Global HIV Treatment for Youth

The MAC AIDS Fund has given a $2 million grant to the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) to expand its Treatment 2015 Initiative, according to a statement from UNAIDS. The initiative seeks to provide 15 million adults and young people with HIV treatment by 2015. The grant will help expand its HIV testing and treatment efforts for youth around the world. Nearly 2 million adolescents and young people living with HIV globally are eligible for treatment. New Viva Glam spokesperson Rihanna announced the grant at an event to launch her new lipstick and lip gloss, which support the MAC AIDS Fund.
