March 28, 2006—HIV meds went to less than 10 percent of positive moms giving birth between 2003 and 2005—bringing nearly 2,000 positive babies into the world every day, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). Two years ago, WHO set a goal to get 3 million people on HIV meds by the end 2005, but only 1.3 million had access at year’s end.
