The Kaiser Family Foundation and the National Alliance of State and Territorial AIDS Directors released an annual report yesterday on the state-by-state status of AIDS Drug Assistance Programs (ADAP), the government programs that provide HIV medications to positive people. Between 2005 and 2006, there was a 5% increase in the number of people enrolled in ADAPs across the nation, and last month four states reported a total of 571 people on ADAP waiting lists.
