I have been hoping that the quilt could come alive once more and be displayed in DC for several reasons. One is to remind those "inside the beltway" that HIV is not over yet. Another is to point out the shame of this country for allowing this to happen. I have been using the last display on the mall as my computer desktop since the late 1990s and never tire of explaining it to the college students who come into our store and ask about it. Thank you, Names Project.
