AIDS United has launched Team to End AIDS (T2) in Washington, DC, according to an AIDS United statement. T2 is an endurance training program for marathons and half-marathons that raises money to help fight HIV/AIDS. The program previously was available only in Chicago and Los Angeles. Mark Ishaug, president and CEO of AIDS United and a running enthusiast, originated T2 as the former president and CEO of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago. Funds raised through the Washington, DC, event will benefit AIDS United and the Washington AIDS Partnership. Endurance-training programs in all four cities are now open for registration.
