This research has the potential to truly provide a functional cure for HIV. Why only 5 million? We spend 2 billion a week in Iraq and Afghanistan for chrisakes. We could solve this problem if the political will was there.

Although appreciative of any research;in these days of giving tax breaks to most wealthy while making people wait until sick enough to get Medicaid again to start meds that you are more than likely resistant to by now, I agree that 10 million over 5 yrs is paltry when the Moral Majority will spend 20 million to make sure the "Fruit Loops" and "Fruity Pebbles" cereal box is not subliminally "making our children GAY"!!! Perhaps a bit flip, but come on!!!!! Area around gov't. in D.C.=highest hiv++!

WHEN ARE WE GOING TO GET SERIOUS! TEN MILLION AND FIVE YEARS IS LESS MONEY AND MORE TIME THAN WE SPEND ON IMPROVING CEREAL BOXES! GET REAL NIH!

We are really in a hurry aren't we! doling out 10 million over five years is more time and less money than we spend on finding ways to improving cereal boxes. When is NIH going to get serious!
