What is happening? Why,after all of our success, would someone want to do this?I feel so frustrated. We,especially those who have hiv need to battle against this kind of thinking. We need to keep our hopes up and positive action in motion for a cure.Yes, a cure. Ignore the haters. They cannot win.We will not let them win.People, we can do this, a cure can be found.Regan Hofman is our greatest hero in this battle. If we ban with her,we can cure hiv/aids.

I'm sure his tune would change if he or one of his loved ones were to contract HIV. it's that simple.

After reading the story just now about the woman who was imprisoned for spitting on an officer during a traffic dispute but because of her HIV status she was sent to prison why can we not imprison lawmakers like this who want to stop prevention efforts for HIV's spread? Then you have people blaming the financial crisis on medical care of HIV/AIDS and the likes of AIG CEO calling liberals deadbeats after we as a nation of taxpayers bailed them out and have yet to repay the money. Doublespeak!

The financial crisis in America is not due to funding for HIV/AIDS care! The financial crisis is not due to Cancer research & treatment!. It is amazing how people like Dave Agema would make such a arrogant, selfish movement to take from a dire dire need and give it to an airline!?. I wonder what would happen if he himself or family member he loves contract the disease, not able to get help because their loved one Dave Agema pushed a dum law and a stupid movement. That is selfish and stupid.

Lashawn, you've made your concern for disclosure issues abbundantly clear over time, but this latest statement is particularly strange. Would you care to elaborate on what the isssue of disclosure has to do with this man's desire to channel money for HIV towards other things?

An ex aviation guy willing to steal money from one funded agency to help pay for his pet projects. Calling it short sighted would infer he has any understanding at all. The mood from 'that side of the isle' seems to be 'I can take care of myself- Damn the rest of you'.
