The data confirms that abstinence only doesn’t work. Condoms have a high success rate when used and cared for properly. There are plenty of couples where one is positive and the other remain negative for years and years. Abstinence is completely unrealistic, particularly in the young, when hormones are raging, add alcohol, and you’d best know how to protect yourself. The pope is full of crap, and isn't qualified to speak on human sexuality and relationships, having not experienced them.
Could he (the Pope) be correct? I have read many entries on these pages of people having sex with condoms that have broken. Let's face it, abstinence is truly the only method not to get HIV thru sexual contact. Whether or not that concept is practices is another issue. Speaking from experience, I now wish I had practiced it.
Why would anyone accept authority on issues of human sexuality from the pope? The pope promotes the very strictest of "pro-life rhetoric, being against all forms of birth control, even in countries that are ravaged by over population and the miseries it brings. Then he condemns condoms, which can reduce the infection rates of a disease that is still deadly if one does not have access to medications. When will people see the fool behind the curtain?
This Pope has and continues to do unbelievable harm to humanity. He needs to be thrown out on his ignorant irresponsible ass.
George Carlin has a great video called RELIGION IS BULLSH*T. The Catholic church is one fine example of how true this sentiment is. People who listen to the pope and can't think for themselves are morons.

The Bishop of Roman is not an expert on sex and clearly his message is good advise for some , however what about to much Surgar that is causing many public health concerns. I can see in the future that Surgar will be the next target of evil and the Pope will have a new enemy and call for all to abstain from Surgar in their daily diet. But the Pope is calling for no condoms and for more sex for the married in his flock, not a bad message to have more unprotected sex as long as you are married.
