I am torned on the concept of privatizing HIV care. In one thought AHF has ok clinics and one of their clinics in Jacksonville gave competition to the Health Department and created better care for all in my opinon, for some time. But just like all groups they can get a little ego spastic and patient safty is a side bar. That is why the patient must be informed and must call out bad healthcare in each case to better the system for in this case it is up to the HIV folks to get involved.

Just another fine example of why we need socialized medicine in this country. We spend more for medical care in this country and get less for it than any developed country in the world. This is absolutely disgraceful.

Of all of the stupid ideas I have ever heard of, this one takes the cake. Broward County??? Expect higher rates of newly exposed people. What is wrong with you folks in Broward? Too much time in the sun or in the bars?

Expect more of this throughout the entire State of Florida.

The Sun Sential again without reporting experience. If you lived in Florida you would know the talk about how poor the providers are in Boward County, the richest county and the poorest county in Florida. If their was a good reporter in Florida they would know that AHF has been perched ready to manage all HIV care in Florida and this is the beginning of the take over. If their was a good reporter in Florida they would see the 1 million donate from AHF for ADAP as a bone to get this contract.

This is a total disgrace, obiously if clients are coming to the health departments is because of lack of income, how are they suppose to see a private medical provider. Are we setting them up for failure and even death, What are we paying these so called LEADERS for to Kills us... Totally unacceptable.
