Yeah the judge is right but being hiv positive is much worse than being dead. If you are still alive just don't get the shit! condom condom condom! The medication can keep you going but on the other side, the stigma can eat you up.

I think that we are losing the point here. STD's are not fatal.Though I am sure they can be. HIV is! It takes its time with each person and each of us is different.I think that the person who gave this to me should be charged but with withholding needed information. And as for the use of a condom...to each his own. Hindsight is 20/20. I prefer to inform my partner...

the judge is right. we all maked a dicision to use a condom or not. i decided not to, so does that mean that the person who gave this to me is responsiable for giving me HIV? he maybe wrong for not telling me if he knew, and i think action should be taken against him, but I made the choice to lay down with him in the 1st place. so yes he should be held responsiable for his actions, but not for attempted murder. charges

I think before anyone rules on HIV/AIDS they must contract the virus what is a normal life, their is so much more to having the virus it attacks a persons well-being,Mental, Physical,Spiritual, Relationship and environment well-being I know because I have the virus, the medications do help but the long term consumption is what kills the body it works on the organs, always remember the the virus is always doing something. Our fight is to live until a cure is found. I lost my wife to the virus.

Its about time society gets a clue. If you have HIV and take your meds and live a "normal" life, you will life a long productive life. The days of dead in a few years are so-early 90's. Its about time the rest of society understand this. And stigma is only what you want it to be Queen. If you want life to be a drag then it will be..get out of the fantasy world and get a job would ya.

How is this not progress? I think it is great that it is not a crime for conviction. People pass around all kinds of STD's and aren't prosecuted. I still think people should use protection. Kind of like Universal Precautions in Health Care. I am a HC worker in the US and we don't know who has what , we just treat everyone the same and protect them and us.
