Men in rural northern Kenya are recycling condoms, PlusNews reports. Local TV channels showed men washing condoms and hanging them out to dry. People are re-using condoms because they lack access to free condoms at government health centers or they can’t afford them. The Kenya Ministry of Health recently appealed to the U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) to supply 45 million condoms because of a nationwide shortage.
