An on-site pharmacy will be built on the second floor of a drop-in syringe exchange program in New York City’s South Bronx neighborhood, according to an Evers Pharmacy statement. Construction is nearly completed on CitiWide Harm Reduction’s Mott Haven site. The unique joint program will offer a new model of providing comprehensive care. Medication management services and prevention services will be offered, as well as supportive services for the homeless, people with HIV/AIDS and those with behavioral health issues. The full-service pharmacy chain already serves more than 4,000 clients in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan and Queens.
