As if living with hiv-aids isn't hard enough. Florida is making it even harder with the nothing we can do about attitude. It is terrible. It is hard enough trying to and worrying about how one can maintain the life sustaining meds without the State attitude of OH WELL what are you going to do.

If you want to get a taste of how bad this ADAP crisis is, google 'ADAP Watch' to receive the weekly NASTAD figures that graphically show which states are screwing their citizens and in what ways! The only solution is to federalize ADAP. The states can't seem to get it right and corporations will run short on generosity once they see there's no real profit in it. So folks, stop beating around the bush and insist that President Obama prioritizes ADAP in the National HIV/AIDS Strategy. Stay Alive!

I moved to RHode Island less than a year ago and applied for ADAP funds. I was enrolled and within two days received a letter stating that the program was out of money. Why is it that we only hear of this through your newsletter. I would think this should be covered in the national press and TV.

It's a shame we have already lost almost way over what many people in many wars with AIDS. Why do they not care about us. Do they want us to die to lower the budget. This is insane and really a wrong approach that has gotten way out of hand over the last several years. We send money to other countries for medical help and forget all about our own people. Totally unjust and when it only takes pennies to make these pills they get thousands out of a 30 day supply, that is fraudulant and mean.

I,.having been in the trappings if Florida's ADAP prtogram ,.have moved to Texas for better HIV care,.Florida has very lack lustre treatment of HIV patients,..including ,but not limited to Pain management,.The politics should not be an issue,.people are dying because of these idiotic decisions made by officials in the state. I ,.for one,.boycott Florida,.and recommend HIV patients to move,if you dont want politicians playing with your life. Thank You
