Why is it that the person infected has to be the one to speak up.This virus has been here long enough there is no reason except not being safe you will be infetced. We have become a country where we want everyone esle respocible for their lives. If you don't want this Virus, then do it safe and we won't have to fight another stigma that we deal each day with it ourselves

People need to start taking serious responsibility with their lives, i mean even a primary school minor is fully aware of the consiquences of having sexual intercourse without protection. Yes we do have cruel selfish people who still infect others intentionaly, I agree, that is a fearful and sick reality however i strongly believe those who deserve to be punished are those taking advantage of minors or under the age of 18, above that age should be responsible enough for their lives.

HIV transmission is an emotionally charged, drama filled subject just perfect for political manipulation. No one states the fact that if you have had no viral load and have been on meds over 10 years that your chances of passing the virus on are very small. Still very small is a chance but not worse than the chance of acquiring HepB, HepC or HPV, silent killers that one does not normally test for. Nor does anyone talk about the 10% chance of the condom having a leak/ breaking. Whose fault then?

What the heck does "knowingly" mean? One never knows afore hand if transmission will take place...but I do know after living with HIV well over 25 years and have been undetectable for over a decade...I have never transmitted the virus knowingly....this sounds personal and dude should talk it out with a professional; or put on a damn condom....I'm just sayin...

I'm pissed! I have 2 felonies already on my record and I never transmitted anything to anybody!! Here in CA they don't give a damn if you got it and accused of prostitution, they assume the next person has it without checking, and there's your felony!!!

It is going on 31 years, the knowledge that HIV exists, and, the only real safe way to not get it is not have unsafe sex, not get blood transfusions and not use dirty needles. This law is lame. Don't assume everyone who is poz is going to tell you, demand they wear a condom or flat out don't have sex with them.
