Jerry, for those of us that were infected by means other than our own doing, it just adds another layer of insult to injury when people automaticly determine we attracted HIV from using drugs or gay sex like some of our dear friends. I don't think anybody thinks they are better, It is just an automatic reflex to try to reduce the level of hurt these bigots throw at us with their insults and labels. I am sorry for the pain you feel too.
What is truly jaw-dropping is that still in the 21st Century we don't lack for information yet there are those who still give credence to scripture and religious dogma. No need to dress it up, gentrify or assimilate ourselves into it, it all needs to go away.
When Jesus died on Calvary He bore the sins of the world in His body and also every known disease so that we might be healed! Because He bore them on Calvary's cross over 2,000 years ago I am completely healed today! Now I boldly proclaim to the world that the acronym, HIV has been redefined by Jesus (Jehovah-Rapha) to mean HEAVEN'S INVITATION TO VICTORY! Living my whole life and having gone to MANY different churches for 30 years where no tolerance for their fellow man and bigotry have been taught, these comments bring tears to my eyes to find there really are others who believe in a compassionate loving Jesus and God and people. Thank you.
I am getting tired of how people say they got it and trying to justify that their better than people who got it however. It really doesn't matter how you got it it is a virus and it is all it is no matter how you got it it doesn't matter. itis part of life now. Thank you, Jerry
The body of Christ has HIV if any of children have HIV, there for my Priest has preached this from the pulpit many times, and used scriptures to verify it. Kudos to those who are brave enough to live life as Jesus truly taught!!
Impossible
I think that we are all forgetting that HIV didn't exist until the early 20th century when a few African tribesmen got a little frisky with several monkeys (ok - they probably ate them and their blood was contaminated by an external wound). The virgin birth is far more likely than Jesus being HIV positive...
