Latino nihilism hasn't worked in Latino countries and will not work in American barrios. It is strangely comforting to Latinos to blame somebody or something else while doing nothing to change their life. When diagnosed 28 years ago, I did what had to be done to stay alive. Blaming myself or others was a waste of energy.
