POZ and We Love Soaps collaborated May 11 for the sixth annual Love Out Loud AIDS Walk New York fund-raiser at Prohibition (503 Columbus Avenue).

Despite the ailing Soap industry, the stars of the daytime television flocked to the event in support of the cause. Guests enjoyed live music performances from POZ event coordinator Giovanni Vitacolonna, crooning some Burt Bacharach beats; Michael Kevin Walsh; Stewart Lewis; Jeremiah Clark, with a rousing rendition of Katy Perry’s “Firework”; MarTina Vidmar; and Ilene Kristen.

Last Comic Standing comedian Adam Sank emceed the evening’s entertainment, and POZ deputy editor Oriol R. Gutierrez Jr. pumped up the crowd for the May 15 AIDS Walk commemorating 30 years since of the first published accounts of HIV.

To date, the event has raised over $40,000.
