Mark Ishaug will step down as president and chief executive officer of AIDS United at the end of February, according to an AIDS United statement. Ishaug will be relocating to Chicago to become the CEO at Thresholds, a nonprofit serving people with mental illnesses. Victor Barnes, senior vice president, will fulfill Ishaug’s role while the board of trustees searches for someone to permanently fill the position. Washington, DC–based AIDS United was created in January 2011 following the merger of The National AIDS Fund and AIDS Action.
