Daniel C. Montoya is the new deputy executive director of theWashington, DC–based National Minority AIDS Council (NMAC), according to anNMAC statement. Before joining NMAC, Montoya served as director of externalaffairs for health programs at the American Institutes for Research. Hisprevious roles include senior policy advisor to the Division of AIDS at the NationalInstitute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases; government affairs director atAIDS Project Los Angeles; and executive director of the Presidential AdvisoryCouncil on HIV/AIDS. He serves on the boards of the Office of Minority HealthResources Center, the National Latino AIDS Action Network and the R. Scott HittFoundation.
