March 10 is the sixth annual National Women and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day (NWGHAAD), a nationwide observance encouraging people to recognize HIV’s impact on women and girls. The day is organized by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office on Women’s Health. Organizations across the country have collaborated with NWGHAAD to hold women’s health events to promote discussion, teach about prevention and offer testing.
