A health psychologist at Ohio University has received a $1.5 million grant in order to test the effectiveness of a telephone-based support system for people over 50 who are living with HIV. Earlier research showed that positive people in that age group, who make up a growing proportion of the epidemic, can sometimes be uncomfortable in support settings that draw mostly younger people.
