In the 80s way back when/ working in a hospital we only had AZT which nurses/ doctors took happily after being stuck by a needle etc.. This whole post exposure meds is so late in getting here.. While on vacation in Sydney for Mardi a Gras/ walking in a bathroom stall they had anything you'd want from clean syringes to doses of pills.. I also had been on Travuda but stopped because of severe nausea.. That exposure will only impair if you 've got renal problems

I think this story is very misleading. As a person living with HIV for 25 years I was on Tonofivir, which is one of the components in Truvada for many years and it eventually raised my creatinine levels. I stopped the med but still have issues with my kidney functions because of the long term use of this med that is one of the components in Truvada. The damage is done!
