BMS' vamped-up version of Sustiva (efavirenz) hit the market in February. The 600 mg tablet is a welcome improvement over the original -- three 200 mg capsules. The lower pill burden ensures easier adherence. The non-nuke should still be taken at bedtime on an empty stomach -- we wish we could report that its famously loopy side effects ("mental events") have been improved. We can't.
