Efavirenz indeed produces a desire to commit suicide in some people. So medical providers should be extremely aware of this health hazard. My own doctor prescribed me Efavirenz and I almost commited suicide but was able to abstain from doing it by my stubborn desire to live. I beleive many medical doctors are not fully aware of this suicidality issue attached to Efavirenz and something has to be done about it. There should be a clear warning about this in the packaging labels of the product.
