Abstinence among young people seems to be on therise, The Washington Post reports.  The latest National Survey of Family Growth—an ongoingfederal survey of American sexual behavior—reveals that among interviewees whowere 15 to 24 years old, 29 percent of women and 27 percent of men reportedthat they had never had sex, an increase from 22 percent for both genders in2002. The survey was first done in 1973. The current survey, conducted from2006 to 2008 among those ages 15 to 44, is the seventh. Survey results alsoinclude details on sexual behaviors including the number and gender of sexualpartners.
