one awful stat the NYCDOHMH claims is that only 14% of HIV+ MSM in NYC dont know their status, national average is 20%. however that claim is based ONLY on ER visits to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx over a 2 month period in 2009...withOUT demographic breakdowns, MSM lumped in with str8s. other data suggests it's really 40%. They abandoned funding HIV Prevention n actively stonewall the rollout of PEP and PrEP...fearing demand! meanwhile, young MSM/Trans r infecting at Apocalyptic rates! ACT UP!!
