good for them, but still people like me get no benefits even for much needed houseing, dental and eye glasses. No one cares anymore for us, they just wish we all just die

I am a middle aged white woman brought up in a upper middle class, small town. I found out I was positive in 2004. I have found very few like me, I never used IV drugs,I am not a gay man (obviously) and not a sex worker . I thought ,in my ignorance, that HIV/AIDS would never be something I would have to deal with. Here I am , and I am sure there are others like me out there. How about a movie that portrays an average white woman with HIV and her struggles, there have been some.

Can we think of a major Hollywood feature where the hero is gay and doesn't die at the end?

And speaking of Sundance, there's the provocative and brilliant short The Young and Evil (search the name to see the trailer) - which is a "day in the life" of a young Black gay man challenging our stereotypes of HIV education and prevention
