I am a woman of color that has been living with the AIDS virus for 23 years. During this time i have buried my daughter, my godson and numerous friends. I am an advocate for women and children. This disease has awarded me the opportunity to have been exposed to some very influencial people from presidents of the USA, pop artist and major players in the AIDS arena. As long as God allows any breath in my body I will speak out to let the world know that we are here and doing well.

i was proud to be part of this demonstration, and call attention to Rep. Barbara Lee's bill, the Repeal HIV Discrimination Act (HR 3053). i've previously attacked it based on an incorrect understanding of the text...but having read it i cant find fault with it. i'm also glad my experience with Queerocracy proved that the HIV Decriminalization movement is not monolithic or doctrinaire, rather it's a big tent for our whole community. using the bullhorn was a hoarse pleasure, and honor!
