The Cannes Film Festival attracts movie stars from every corner of the world to the glamorous port city on the French Riviera. Most of the celebs travel to the locale on their mega-yachts, from which they deport for a week of film screenings, press conferences, photo calls and, obviously, parties. The swankiest, splashiest and most do-gooding of the events is always the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala. This year’s event, the 19th one, took place May 24 at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap D’Antibes, France.

Models Irina Shayk, Petra Nemcova, Doutzen Kroes and Kate Upton donned their glitziest gowns for the gala. They were joined by fellow celebrity attendees Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton, Nina Dobrev, Janet Jackson, Joshua Jackson, Diane Kruger, Tara Reid, Rose McGowan, Kirsten Dunst, Julianna Margulies, Karl Lagerfeld, Adrien Brody, Zac Efron and chairman of the amfAR board Kenneth Cole.

Kylie Minogue and Alec Baldwin served as the event’s cochairs and shared presenting and auctioneering duties with Heidi Klum, Chris Tucker and longtime amfAR supporter Harvey Weinstein, while Fun. and Jessie J performed.

The Foundation for AIDS Research ambassadors Cheyenne Jackson and Milla Jovovich along with Karolina Kurkova and Antonio Banderas showed up looking fresh (and not jet-lagged) even though they did double-European-HIV/AIDS-charity-events-duty by hopping over to France for the fund-raiser from Austria’s Life Ball.

The Cinema Against AIDS event raised more than $10 million for amfAR.
