Wes, because HIV is a made up name called a retro virus and it doesn't follow any of the science method that we have used for Virus in the past, new science fill with holes. Science concerning viruses can be seen with a microscope, however HIV can not been idenified by seeing or verified, so protein marker are the best guess, not anti-bodies concerning HIV or the quasi virus called HIV. That is why many sciencist are questioning a real factual truth that is not made up theroies bundle together
Why is the benchmark for successful treatment of HIV set at testing negative for antibodies? This goes against everything I know about how our immune systems work. We all have a multitude of anti-bodies & they each are a "knowledge marker" of what challenges our body has encountered & overcome. Why wouldn't the IDEAL mark of success be "hiv+ with no virus"...as It is with every other human disease? All our vaccines are based on antibodies for a reason.
