I think the writer has made good points and the problem again with federal funding for most programs is citizens are not paying attention, from the millions stolen from African countries to the lack of comprehensive sex education to include the options of condom, abstinence or excess to oral rapid HIV screening kits. Their is enough blame for all groups,so please do not try to scap goat all on Christians then swich to faith groups, for transparency ,truth and Acton in all tools, and yes prayer 2

I just want to applaud this article. Thanks for bringing this to the public. I hope we can address this issue and take the epidemic in Africa to better terms. I have experience how philosophies like "abstinence" has failed to many, so I hope that more can be done in this area. Thanks again!

We should be funding the ADAP and Ryan White programs as well as we help other countries. Helping American citizens have access to medications and health care should be a higher priority and better use of our tax dollars.

America's dedication to "inclusivity"? Surely you must be joking!!Of course this somes from a member of the majority population. This country has no intention of being inclusve...it does only whqt is necessary to keep the masses of minorities at bay. Live a day in my shoes and you might think differently. You accuse the religious groups (of which not all are Christian as you infer of attempting to covertly brainwash individuals? Well, I ask you,,,what are you trying to do world traveller?

Anti-prostitution pledge US requires of countries, who might want to tap into AIDS funding with (PEPFAR), has to be right up there with another one of the more dullzone pieces of a very stupid puzzle. Le medical folks didn't exact rally to oppose a pledge. So sex workers are left out of the equation. Bright thinking, America. If we are not the most moral nation on the planet, which we are not, we have to be toword the bottom of the brainless list like somewhere near the bottom of the cistern.
