WOW, they all sound as if they are really doing something for the HIV population, but what they are really doing is making millions off the disease. I sit here with insurance that won't even help pay for my meds and make to much money off my disability for any goverment assistance. I have been off meds for 3 months now not being able to pay for the almost $3000 a month for all my meds. What can they really do to bring these rediculous prices DOWN so we don't have to die.

And who grades ATAC? They would struggle to make an F, which basically means that this is all nonsense.

I don't want a report card on how/what they have done. I have seen with my own life what they have done. I'm still alive. Now, I would like to see what they will and need to do. I have lived life longer with 'their' drugs than I could have without 'their' drugs. I only want an end to this long term investment that I have paid so dearly for and have so many other's with their lives. Give us a break. We can only spend so much! Let us live!! We didn't ask for this fate, we only received it.

If the drug companies cared anything at all there would not be 400 per cent increases in the cost of drug treatments. i have little to no respect for a compmay or companies that place a dollar value of the value of a life. yes all must have some form of profit yet profit alone is not the purpose of health care. Where does all the donations go, since it does not apppear to be in the development or cost reduction of meds or care of those in need then it must be going for an unworthy pay raise.

Well, all of the companies have raised the retail prices of HIV drugs 20% in the past year...Who are you kidding? I wonder if those grades are reflective of money donations to certain organizations. I see an inherent conflict of interest here. Whats new in the Pharma world?

The AIDS Treatment Activists Coalition grading the major pharmaceutical companies, is a nice article. But the real category of grading required, and that people with HIV are looking for; is a grade on pharmaceutical comapanies and the work they are doing finding a cure for HIV. There is tremendous profit in treatment; why wouldn't companies work on additional treatment? I am certain the majority of people living with HIV, would like to know how companies or gov. are doing to develope a cure.

THERE IS ANOTHER SIDE TO THIS STORY OF MEDIOCRE HIV CARING BY THE BIG PHARMS. THEY ARE A MULTI BILLION DOLLAR BUSINESS AND NOW THEY HAVE TURNED THEIR BACK ON MOST SMALL HIV NON PROFIT AGENCIES REGARDING CHARITABLE DONATIONS. THEY ARE ALL NOW SAYING GREAT PROGRAM WISH WE COULD HELP BUT THAT THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE NEEDING HELP, THAT THEY NOW CANNOT HELP. THE DENIAL LETTERS ALL READ EXACTLY THE SAME.

We can only pray for the sincerity of their comments and hope this isn't the latest script of the spin doctors. POZ should also be commended for letting corporate medicine give their side and reminding them that there are eyes watching.
