A free sexual health clinic in Brisbane, Australia, is facing governmental budget cuts that threaten to reduce services to about 600 clients with HIV/AIDS, the Brisbane Times reports. Biala House staff were told 32 nursing jobs would be eliminated by April 19. The Queensland Nurses Union said those cuts affect “frontline” jobs that the government has always promised to keep. The clinic is where many of the city’s sex workers get screened for sexually transmitted infections.
