I’m a GWM who tested positive in 1996. (Age 29) Started HIV meds in 98. My CD4 was 35 and my VL was 980,000. By 06, my CD4 was 355. In 2011, I was diagnosed with anal cancer. Had 30 radiation treatments and 2 months of chemo; Followed by 2 yrs of hell. (Burns) I developed IBS. That’s being treated with Viberzi. (A total life saver for me!) 2019- My CD4 is in the upper 700’s and I’ve been undetectable for 8+ years. I no longer have anal sex and I’m ok with that. I feel great! Life is good.
