"Cancer" is a cover-all term for many different things. Some is caused by environmental things, or lifestyle, or genetics, or epigenetics, and some by known viruses. Imagine if the "cancers" caused by viruses - the ones that are known - weren't called "cancer"... Well, then those conditions would have stigma attached to them. And yet, they are covered by the term "cancer". So, let's get real here and see that there is a whitewashing going on which definitely didn't happen with HIV.

Just to clarify what I am saying... HIV and AIDS were blackened. Why? Because HIV and AIDS were seen as gay related. But the cancers out there that are caused by known viruses were whitewashed because they weren't gay related. Huge hypocrisy! It all should have been and should be spoken of in neutral terms - HIV and AIDS, and the cancers that are known to be caused by other known viruses.
