Dr. Farthing's passing is just too deeply sad!!!! He was one of my life-saving AIDS doctors at the AHF Westside Clinic for a few years for which I am eternally grateful!!!!

In some circles this Doctor is an Icon of social justice in his years of being one of the first to treat HIV people as humans. I was delighted to met him some years ago at a network even, in his joy of coming out of the deaths of the 80s of some many people and into the hopes of ARVs. He was modest in not understanding all about HIV or ARVs at the time, but assure me that many where living, to infer, something was working, but wise to state we only had a snap shot of the true pandemic. RIP Doc
