I am also an LTS and fed up with seeing Sheen as our new poster boy/hero. Many others have fought far more bravely OUT OF THE SPOTLIGHT and I fail to see why so many worship this guy who only came forward to cut down on blackmail payments. He's a mysoginistic POS with a record of violence against women, not a hero. Let's focus on the true warriors in this battle on World AIDS day, not this loser!
What is the plan WHEN (not if) the accusations of nondisclosure start rolling in? Even if he was upfront about his status-and that's questionable-we're already seeing a prominent costar who thinks she was entitled to know about his status, DESPITE HIM BEING NEGATIVE WHEN THEY WORKED TOGETHER. I've seen a lot of "first talk about PrEP". That won't cut it. Maybe ya'll need to advocate for Poz people & rationality, not so much for pharma. Say "he wasn't infectious" since it appears he wasn't.
The hardest part about being newly diagnosed is who to tell, who can you trust, and dealing with stigma. The disease itself is very manageable. Unfortunately many people are still quite ignorant about how it is transmitted. Being in the position you are in, you can help change the fear some people still have. Look at this as an opportunity to help others. You can help so many people out there who still remain in the shadows.
LTS during this conversation the term LTS means long time survivor I learned. Not being in your circle did not know of these letters. Kudo to you for the courage to move forward in good health. Debate is about conversation in getting to pieces of the truth in one journey, I learned, so Praising God for the truth and a life of wonderful intimate relationship both in Poz circles and many more. I'm not here to debate My comments with others. Just stating My Own personal feelings as a LTS of 34 years. YES 34 years of AIDS & HIV. If anyone knows what suffering and stigma really feels like it's US. I'm not bitter. I'm happy & healthy. And am standing strong by My Own feelings and views. I'm Anonymous Online by My Own Choice- this is the web you know & everything is searchable in google. If we are not intimate then no reason for you to know my personal business. Anonymous LTS. Please do not be mistaken for my Praises are to God for the truth. Mr Sheen in his misdirection to handle HIV is one of confusion and fear. You understand that clearly by you Anonymous writings and communications. So the Kudos are to him finding his courage to confront his journey in truth. Truth is always Praise Worthie in my Faith. I do not think anyone should have to live in fear of other people's hate, for it is one of my Families Values of Honor and Integrity.
I am a little disappointed that it took him so long to reveal his status & I also understand the stigma still surrounding this disease, I have been HIV positive for 9yrs & when I found out I made sure I told the people that needed to know.
