Why didn't they test those with fibrosis of varying degree to find out if there is a deficit in those people. I have problems that I didn't have a few years back and can only attribute this to the HEPC, this report makes it look as if though HEPC is a benign disease and if a person who in uninformed reads this they may think HEPC is no big deal, I think it would have been better to end the article with a footnote on how devastating HEPC is especially with those who are coinfected with HIV.

Again, this is bad science, too few people to have a real outcome and nobody with advanced liver disease. I and countless others with advanced liver disease do in fact have decline. I wish they would have tested all people at all points of the disease to get a fair outcome. This article makes HEPC look like it is a benign disease to those that know little of it. I feel this article should have at the very least shown how HIV speeds up HEP C in damaging the liver and how dangerous it is.
