RAIN Oklahoma assists w Ryan White Part B, Housing, outreach,etc for those w HIV & many w HCV. These coinfected may not be offered new life changing drugs due to the cost. It's hard think 12 weeks could cure HCV and avoid the lifelong complications from the current treatment protochol-IT CAN. I would prefer a short term medication which would allow me to have a real life - not waiting to live a day here & there when my meds aren't hitting as hard. Maybe I could AGAIN become a maker not a taker.
Hey - all of you who are holding off from HCV treatment, don't! I took the first three drug treatment and went through the 6 month testing period necessary to assure that I was cured, and I was. It felt really really really good! Like they said in A Chorus Line, just grab a cab and go see the wizard at (insert your hematologist's address). It Works!

Great work everyone. HIV positive for 33 years and cured of Heb C, I feel I am one of the lucky ones to make it out of the 80's. Viral load undetectable for over 15 years. Feel so blessed and grateful to all of you that research and find continuing ways to assist and treat HIV, HCV. Just turned 50 this year, celebrating 30 years with the same man in Aug. Life is good.
