What has Mr. Jacobs has done for poz people? It's a fair question since he feels the need to lecture us about hardships faced by PrEP users as if that creates an obligation. Jacobs is too comfortable invading Poz magazine and telling poz people to disregard Kramer, all while admitting he's been "lackadaisical". There's something gross, privileged and self absorbed about a rich negative guy comfortably telling us he hasn't cared about HIV drugs until they affected him.

I agree with Larry Kramer!! I think this is a mistake. With sex comes responsibility regardless if you are straight or gay. This removes the need for openly discussing HIV prior to sex. There is a social responsibility here! I also do not believe that it is 90% effective either. That number is a false projection. To many variables.

Zach the neggie wants to stay a neegie and have unprotected sex and most people do not care. I would assume Globally that not many have here of Larry Karmer for I get him mixed up with the Quilt dude. Many of us pozzies live outside the AIDS Inc circle or out of New York where many think the world revolves around that City. In the South where I am from people are different in culture and ideas, doesn't make it sad, just different.

I'm not anti-PrEP. I think it's a great boon for sero discordant couples. However, I'm nervous about adherence. There is a risk that a certain percentage of people on PrEP won't take dosages properly. This opens the door to resistance. Not only that but there are other sexual diseases besides HIV, so not using a condom can help spread those.

This article is most fascinating as the lines are being drawn in the sand concerning this HIV morning before pill of little knowledge to our larger global communities. I am not sure who this Mr. Kramer is in his person or Mr. Jacob, for I am just now hearing their voice. In my walk of 27 years with HIV and thank God not having AIDS. The morning before pill seems very convenient or like the introduction of the micro way in my generation. I prefer to use a slow cooker and a micro way as needed.

Try to present a different opinion on Mr. Jacobs' Facbook page dedicated to promoting PrEP and you'll be quickly banned.
