David Munar will step down March 1 as president and CEO of the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC), Windy City Times reports. Starting April 1, he will become president and CEO of the Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC), the LGBT health center of Chicago. Munar joins HBHC at a critical time for the organization, which almost closed after a series of controversies over its finances. John Peller, current AFC vice president of policy, will take over as interim AFC president and CEO.
