I agree with u 100%,here in Okla,we had Anti Obama gays posting racial comments,we just gained a few rights and gays jumping on band wagon with conservatives, in okla now they passed a law where social worker can use religion on adoptions,9000 kids in foster care,since he got Supreme Court marriage equality is next,me being over 60,i lived thru racism and extreme homophobia,sorry some of us aren’t lucky enough to be married,but this anti gay adm should scare all minorities,the fight is not over.
I agree with her on most things, but not the part about homonationalism. Without the nation state there is no alternative framework for democracy and liberalism, at least not yet. We don't need to immediately dismantle the state in order to create higher levels of global solidarity and it is also impossible politically right now. The premature push will actually reinforce the backlash we are seeing.
