The candidates definitely seemed to focus their concern on prevention, leaving a lot of other HIV issues and Poz people out in the rain. Still, we had better acknowledgement of U=U and stronger support for decriminalization than I’d expected. This magazine-which didn’t push them to do still better-remains a disappointment.

The candidates are NOT informed about HIV at all! They don't know the difference between someone who is HIV/pos. and long-term survivors with AIDS. We are two separate groups with different healthcare needs. The candidates only discuss prevention, NOT long-term care. Time for a little education on the issues❗️ Who prepped these candidates?

uhm, Trenton? there very much ARE HIV activists who argue that no one should ever get prosecuted for transmitting HIV, EVEN INTENTIONALLY. there were such people in ACT UP NY, and as ACT UP NY's specific, elected representative to the first HIV Is Not A Crime conference in Grinnell Iowa back in 2014, I saw almost half the attendees defending that argument in the only full floor session of the conference. Hell, watch the debate between Robert Suttle and myself on YouTube! you can't hide that.
